Cross-Linked Polyethylene (XLPE)
XLPE is a closed-cell foam — it does not absorb water, coolant, cutting oil, or shop chemicals. Unlike open-cell kaizen foam, it won't compress under heavy tools over time. The pocket profile holds its shape for years of daily production use.

Shadow Effect at Every Pocket
Two layers of contrasting foam are bonded before cutting. When a tool is removed, the lower layer shows through the pocket in a high-contrast color — making absences visible from across the aisle, not just up close.
This is the same principle behind industrial shadow boards used in aerospace and FOD-controlled environments: physical visual management, not paper-based accountability.

All tiers use the same AI-designed layout and CNC-cut process. The difference is in surface finish, labeling depth, and top-layer durability.
Carbon-Fiber Acrylic Top Layer
A rigid carbon-fiber-look acrylic top layer is CNC-engraved with tool names, part numbers, or department labels. Engraving is permanent — not a label that peels after six months of shop use. Right for long-term programs where the standard needs to hold through staff turnover.
Two-Tone Foam with Engraving
The same two-tone XLPE construction with engraved text in the foam surface — tool name, slot number, or custom label. Durable through daily shop use. A strong default for most lean manufacturing and kaizen programs.
Two-Tone Foam, No Engraving
Two-tone XLPE with precision-cut pockets and no text engraving. Visual accountability is fully functional — the contrast layer announces every missing tool. Right for pilot programs or applications where permanent labeling isn't required.
